Single Moms @ Tansley
Our next meeting will be on November 13th.
Next month ADAPT will be leading the meeting on the new cannabis legislation, the impact on a developing brain, its use and mental health, driving, and what access will look like in Ontario and especially in Halton, and how to talk to their kids about all of it.
The meeting with start with dinner at 5:45 pm for all (vegetarian option will be available). The kids will then go up to the loft for their fun supervised activities and the moms will have time to sharing. The meeting will run until 8:00 pm
If you would like to help out with the prep and set up for the dinners before these nights please contact Janice Martin.

History of Single Mom’s Night
With the support of the Hamilton Conference Investment in Mission and Ministry Fund, Tansley planned for and started a support group for single moms in North Burlington. We held an open house in July 2015 to increase awareness of the group. There were activities for both moms and their children. There has been a great deal of interest expressed by the community in participating.
The first meeting was held on September 22, 2015. There were 20 women in attendance with their children. It was a great night of starting to build friendships and support. Many of the woman spoke of their need for community and that this felt like a very safe place to be.
