Little Free Library @ Tansley
On Sunday, September 13th the Tansley United Church Little Free Library was introduced to the Tansley Congregation.
This was a project that Gary and Ruth Goodale took on over the summer to rebuild and paint a left over podium to become the Tansley Little Free Library. Thank you to both of them. It will be positioned at the front door of the church.
The premise is to “take a book, leave a book”. There is an open invitation to the congregation to bring in a book (adult and children’s) to help with the initial stocking of our Little Free Library.
This concept started in 2009 in Hudson, Wisconsin, and its mission is:
To promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations.
